About Me

I am Veronica Campos and I’m from Bellville, Texas. I currently reside at San Marcos, Tx, where I am studying Electronic Media at Texas State University. I am also minoring in Japanese, so I am glad that I am blogging about Japan. I am excited to learn all the amazing culture and of course some trends. My personal favorite thing about japan is anime, the technology and their traditions.

Since I was little I always had a thing for Japan. I remember my first time watching a movie “Memories of a Geisha” when I was very young. I honestly think this is what got me so hook up in Japan. I was in love with the movie and would never let it go. Then I remember asking my mom to buy me 2 books. A Japanese dictionary and a travel book with sentences you must use in Japan. I also was very big in anime when I was little. My cousin actually introduced Dragon Ball Z to me. From there started my love for Japan.

In the movie “Memories of a Geisha” taught me a lot of how Japan was before and during World War II. I learned a lot about geishas and how the culture was affected when the American’s invaded a part of Japan. I loved the story behind the young girl who went through some rough patches with the loss of a mother to being taken and separated from her sister and put into labor.
